SYNOPSIS OF THE STORY The Earl of Essex is in love with Queen Elizabeth, Queen Elizabeth is in love with Sir Walter Raleigh, whereas Sir Walter is in love with Bessie Throckmorton. Jill-All-Alone finds a letter from shows the letter to is banished and Bessie is taken prisoner. With the help of Jill-All-Alone Bessie escapes from the Castle and meets has followed Bessie now reveals his love for and a crowd of country people Essex realizes his ambition, Raleigh and Bessie are pardoned. This is an entirely Amateur performance. |
